Voodoo Fishin' Enchanting Recipes and Combining Items
Edited
Voodoo Fishin' enchanting combines a recipe’s bait and junk at Auntie Brigitte’s Boil. Carry the junk in your cooler, select it in the enchanting interface, choose the matching bait, and use Enchant. Success presents the resulting bait with a name and description; the developer says a wrong combination leaves ingredients in the pot. Check the recipe table before spending ingredients: Spooky Inker now pairs with Raggad Dolly, and a Skull can give a rod or reel one loss-prevention use.
Documented recipe reference: Cat’s April Journal screenshots, the June Spooky Inker correction, July tackle protection/UI changes and August Lil’ Sparky addition. This covers the combinations below, not an asserted exhaustive 1.0 catalogue or invented effects for unnamed release bait. Procedure footage is Early Access; the site has not tested crafting. Sources and scope.
Match the documented bait-and-junk combinations
Each row pairs a named bait with one named junk ingredient. Cat’s original screenshots show the first twelve recipe pictures. The Spooky Inker row is updated using the developer’s June correction, and Lil’ Sparky uses the later developer announcement. These source dates matter when an older chart disagrees with your Journal.
Names below follow the source recipe labels, including Sproket, Avacado and Sneeky Tickler. Check the illustrated item as well as the spelling if your localization or a later label differs. The result is an enchanted item; a colored recipe picture alone does not establish an undocumented effect, duration or success rate.

Use a Skull to protect a rod or reel
The July update adds two other combinations: any Rod + Skull, and any Reel + Skull. The resulting enchantment prevents one loss of the treated piece. This is separate from bait recipes and does not protect the entire loadout, the cooler or every future death.
Use the Journal’s recipe entry for the piece you are treating. The published rule does not require a particular named rod or reel, and it does not establish a second stack of protection from adding another Skull. The lost-tackle guide explains the limit beside the loss conditions.

Bring the materials through the enchanting sequence
Start with the matching junk in your cooler and the bait or tackle you want to enchant available in your inventory. Check the current Journal recipe before setting out. Rusty Remy is a documented source of junk to buy when you cannot find the required piece; a random unwanted item is not interchangeable with the named ingredient.
DruPon’s April route starts from the starting dock’s fishing sign, follows the path left and farther in, then descends left through the cemetery corridor toward the witch and cauldron. It is a historical landmark route, not a claim that an old shortcut remains safe after the enemy overhaul. Bring the required materials with you so reaching Brigitte is useful.
- At Auntie Brigitte’s Boil, interact with the enchanting station while bringing the cooler that contains the recipe’s junk.
- Select the required junk and choose Enchant. In the viewed example this is Trike.
- In the tackle interface, choose the matching item and its Enchant action. The viewed example selects Lil’ Snappy for Trike; use your own recipe pair rather than substituting another bait.
- Let the cauldron sequence finish. Look for the presented output name and description, then check the resulting item in your tackle inventory.
- For another supported combination, use the Enchant Again option added in July. Check the remaining materials before starting again.

Recognize success and recover from a mismatch
The developer’s success signal is the bait emerging from the cauldron with a name and description. If the combination is wrong, the developer says the ingredients stay in the pot. Recheck the two named inputs and the Journal instead of assuming any two rare-looking objects form a recipe.
A retained ingredient in the pot is not a confirmed consumed ingredient or a reward hidden in the tackle box. Check the actual enchanting and inventory state before repeating the action. The available sources do not establish an unlimited-refund mechanic or a random failure percentage. In the recording, the creator is unsure what a failed attempt consumes; that uncertainty is not promoted into a rule.
Known output purposes differ. The developer describes Enchanted Snappy as junk-only bait, Enchanted Avocado as the bait that can lure Voodoo Puglet, Enchanted Chikin’ Feets as an expendable Legendary-fish bait, and Enchanted Decoy as a deployable distraction that enemies prioritize. These descriptions do not mean every enchanted bait is a Voodoo-fish lure.
Enchanted Lil’ Sparky is another special case: while equipped it repels nearby monsters; casting deploys a campfire and consumes the bait. Keep that use separate from the one-use protection on a rod or reel. Read the actual result’s description before casting it expecting an ordinary catch.
An old Spooky Inker + Cinder Block diagram is a concrete recipe mismatch after June 17. Replace that ingredient with Raggad Dolly in your plan. No recipe here is a claim that an unrelated fish-hook upgrade system exists.
