Voodoo Fishin' Money Guide: Selling and Spending

Edited

Make money in Voodoo Fishin' by selling fish to a Fish Monger, junk to Rusty Remy, and unwanted rods, reels or bait to Dealin’ Delores at the Pawn Shop. Fish sales are paid by weight, and an active Bounty can add a bonus. Dock Quota rewards are session upgrades, separate from your personal cash.

Steam 1.0 listing and June–October 2026 developer updates. No verified fish-price table, Bounty formula or money-per-hour benchmark is available here. Sources and scope.

Take the right item to the right buyer

The Fish Monger pays for fish by the pound. Rusty Remy buys junk at his raft, and the June Junk Shop update explicitly removed junk buying from the Fish Monger. Dealin’ Delores buys extra rods, reels and bait at the Pawn Shop.

Check what an unwanted item actually is before emptying the cooler. A fish, a junk ingredient and a spare piece of tackle have different destinations. The keep-or-sell reference covers the known reasons a piece of junk might still be useful.

Three sale destinations confirmed by the developer.

Separate the bonus from the shared meter

A fish carrying an active Bounty multiplier receives a Bounty Tag in the shop’s selling display. That is the useful check that a target qualifies for extra cash at that seller; this guide does not assume an unpublished fixed multiplier.

Every fish the crew sells also contributes to a shared Dock Quota. The reward is an in-session benefit such as a larger cooler, Sprint Boost or Jump Boost. It is not another name for the fish’s sale price.

Caesar and Louis have separate quota meters and different Bounty boards. Louis is at Fort Arbre. Look ahead at both reward choices and agree which one to pursue, then use the quota claiming instructions for the actual upgrade.

Buy for the fish you are trying to catch

A stronger rod helps with force and recovery; a reel changes reach and depth. Better bait can expose you to fish that weak gear cannot handle. Decide which of those limits is blocking your target before spending on another bait tier.

The October 1 balance pass normalized many rod and reel stats. Old complaints about a particular expensive rod, and old price lists, do not establish today’s best buy. Compare the properties shown on your actual shop item; no universal upgrade ranking is asserted here.

Bring the catch back before risking more

A full cooler is useful only if you get it to a buyer. Once found, the paired Wormhole Buckets can shorten a trip between a fishing spot and a Monger. They are not a way to generate money by themselves.

A Skull enchantment gives a rod or reel one loss-prevention use. Unprotected tackle held visibly when you die can be lost. The Pawn Shop can offer lost gear for sale during that session, but buying it back is a cost, not guaranteed free recovery.

No measured hourly income is claimed. Fish value, actual Bounty targets, travel and losses change the result; multiplying a single player’s old catch sale into a universal farming rate would conceal those conditions.
