THE INDEPENDENT FIELD GUIDE

Voodoo Fishin' Missions, Locals, and Daily Tasks

Edited

Voodoo Fishin' 1.0 launches with 37 missions from Lil’ Lucile, Jonah Swol, Kenny the Mechanic and Sketchy Steve. Each local’s location and daily job change; task types include timed fishing, scavenging, decoy setups and deliveries. Every mission has a reward, with some tackle and Puppet Parts exclusive to missions. Follow the requirements of the actual job offered; the announcement does not supply a universal catch count, delivery destination or turn-in step.

PC mission-system reference from the September launch and October release announcements. Coverage includes the four locals, task categories, daily changes and reward rules. Individual start-to-finish mission routes, exact quantities, reset times and turn-in signals are unavailable; this is not a 37-mission walkthrough. Sources and scope.

Recognize the local and the kind of job

September introduced four tutorial missions for Enchanted Decoy, enchanting, the Junk Shop and Loot Crates. The October release expands that system to 37 missions. An old guide that only describes the four tutorials is not a complete release mission list.

The release names examples for the four locals below. It does not identify every individual mission title, required amount or exact reward, so the table keeps its category-level scope.

Mission families described in the release announcement; not a full mission checklist.

Expect a new position and daily job

The developer says each NPC moves to a different spot every day and the offered daily mission is random. A fixed marker from a previous day or a friend’s old screenshot is therefore a lead, not a guaranteed location.

Use the compass area name when sharing where you found a local. The announcements do not state the exact reset hour, whether every crew member sees identical choices, or a complete carry-over rule for unfinished jobs. Check the job actually offered in your session before relying on another player’s instructions.

Use the actual objective rather than an invented generic turn-in

Read the job’s exact target and conditions before collecting or spending an item. A timed catch and a package delivery need different actions; ordinary fish sales do not by themselves prove either mission is complete.

One post-release developer reply confirms that Jonah’s tutorial mission gives a better rod than the starter. It does not establish the reward’s name or the complete start/finish sequence. This is a supported progression lead, not a substitute for a walkthrough.

A mission announcement, an item in the cooler or a reward picture does not establish that your offered job is complete. Check its actual objective and completion display before selling a requested fish or leaving the local. This reference has no verified job-specific turn-in sequence, so it cannot identify an unseen completion signal for you.

Keep mission rewards separate from Bounties and quotas

Every mission has its own reward, and some tackle/Puppet Parts can only be earned through missions. That is an acquisition distinction; it does not mean every cosmetic is a mission reward or every mission pays the same currency amount. The Puppet Parts reward reference separates known achievement rewards from mission-only parts.

A Bounty concerns an eligible target fish and sale bonus. A Dock Quota is the crew’s shared sale progress toward a session upgrade. Use the Bounty sale checks or quota claiming steps when those are the actual task; do not call either one an NPC mission turn-in.

If a run ends in a loss, preserve the actual objective text when reporting a problem. A documented gear-repurchase path does not establish that an unfinished mission, its timer or its unique object is restored.
