Voodoo Fishin' Map and Swamp Navigation

Edited

Use Voodoo Fishin's compass with M on keyboard or D-pad Left on a controller to check your direction and the name of the area you enter. The starting dock, Fort Arbre’s Fish Monger, Rusty Remy’s raft and Auntie Brigitte’s Boil serve different tasks. Daily mission locals and a session’s Wormhole Buckets move, so their position in somebody else’s run is not a permanent map marker.

PC navigation reference from dated developer announcements and an attributed April route to Brigitte. Coverage is the compass, documented landmarks and location changes; a complete 1.0 region map, coordinate atlas and routes through every region are unavailable. No route was tested by this site. Read the area name before choosing a direction

Press M or D-pad Left to open the compass. The July developer update says it also appears as you explore and shows the name of the area you enter. Use the needle for orientation and the displayed name when explaining a destination to a friend.

Automatic area updates can be disabled in Options. If the pop-up is absent, the manual shortcut is still the documented way to bring up the compass. This feature gives an area name and bearing; the announcement does not describe a native overhead map.

The Journal’s physical shelf is beside the starting outhouses. After its tutorial, J opens it anywhere. Read a fish’s habitat clues there before choosing which water to investigate; a compass area name is not an assertion that every cast in that area has the same habitat tags.

Choose the landmark for the task you need

Use a service destination rather than a vague instruction to go deeper into the swamp. The developer records below establish these roles and, where stated, the landmark name. They do not supply a complete path network or all current region boundaries.

Documented destinations and the decision each one supports. No coordinate or unverified distance is assigned.

Scroll the table sideways to read every column.

Follow the attributed route to Brigitte with its limits

DruPon’s April guide begins at the starting fishing sign, follows the path left and farther in, then descends left through the cemetery corridor toward the witch and cauldron. Use that as an attributed landmark sequence if the scenery matches your run, rather than a measured turn-by-turn map.

Take the matching junk in your cooler and the bait you plan to enchant. The enchanting guide gives the actual material-selection steps once you reach the station.

Old demonstrations include wall and rock shortcuts around the hostile corridor. The August enemy overhaul changed spawn locations and behavior; no shortcut is presented as a guaranteed safe route. If the path does not match, use the compass and recognizable landmarks to reorient rather than continuing an invented sequence of turns.

Keep daily and session locations out of a fixed map

Mission locals change both position and daily job. A marker from yesterday is not a guarantee of where Lil’ Lucile, Jonah Swol, Kenny or Sketchy Steve stands today. The daily mission reference explains that change without assigning an unpublished reset time.

Each full-game session has one pair of Wormhole Buckets at random locations. Listen for their nearby sound, then move the pair to useful return points. The bucket setup instructions describe a route you create rather than a universal spawn coordinate.

Opened Loot Crates can despawn and appear elsewhere under the August update. A screenshot showing a crate beside a rock records one moment, not a permanent supply cache. Preserve that distinction when sharing a location with the crew.
